Preparing for Your Appearance
Check the date, location and attendance instructions on your appearance notice, undertaking or release order, together with any later court directions. Keep all the documents available for your lawyer. A fingerprint appointment, a bail hearing and a case-management appearance serve different purposes.
Ask what is scheduled and what you need to do before the next date. Do not assume that an appearance is online or that retaining a lawyer automatically excuses attendance.
Find an Ontario Courthouse
Use the official directories below to find courthouse locations, local contacts and scheduling information across Ontario. Select the court handling your criminal matter and confirm the courtroom and attendance arrangements for your case.
Use the directory for the court named on your documents. Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice scheduling contacts handle different proceedings.
Online Attendance and Courtroom Connections
Use the court’s official attendance information for connection details and current instructions. Follow the directions for your proceeding and confirm any uncertainty with your lawyer or court staff. A publicly listed connection does not mean every hearing can be attended remotely.
Find a Court Date
The Ontario Court of Justice explains how to use its daily court lists and adult criminal case-search service. Some proceedings are excluded from public lists, including weekend and statutory holiday criminal court lists. A missing result does not mean an appearance has been cancelled. Contact the court office or your lawyer to confirm.
Advice About Your Case
Knowing where to attend is one part of preparing for court. Rana Nosratpanah and her team review the stage of the case, the evidence available and the work needed before the next appearance. A consultation can address the proposed representation, fees and immediate priorities.
